Our mission is to provide essential resources through our four areas of ministry, serving individuals and families in our local community who need assistance with life’s basic needs.

We serve the northern and western regions of Liberty County and are guided by a nine-member board of directors. As a faith-based, community-driven organization, Operation Refuge is funded through the generosity of individuals, churches, business owners, and proceeds from the Operation Refuge Thrift Shop and Nana’s Attic.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we provide tax-deductible donation receipts.

Our services include a 3,000-square-foot Food Pantry located on the north side of Cleveland at 1625 N. Blair Avenue, built debt-free in 2004.

Our Thrift Shop and Recycling Center are located in the heart of town at 904 E. Houston Street.
This location is also home to our newest venture, Nana’s Attic—a charming shop tucked behind the purple door, filled with timeless treasures waiting to be discovered.

Donations are accepted Monday through Saturday.

The food pantry is open four days a week, fifty weeks of the year.
We close the last two weeks of the year to provide our volunteers time with their families.

Those needing assistance can come once a month for food and once a year for financial assistance with utilities. In addition, we provide children with toys at Christmas.

The back of the pantry resembles Santa’s warehouse in December as the volunteers sort the toys and bag them for the children.
