Basics Class

Basics is a 4-week class created with new believers in mind, while also serving those who have attended church for some time and want to strengthen the basics and core of their faith.

This class explores the essential beliefs of Christianity, introduces practical spiritual disciplines, and helps participants understand how to live out their faith with confidence. Whether you’re just beginning your journey with Jesus, returning after time away, or simply wanting a refresher on the basics, this class provides a clear and welcoming starting point.

Do I need to attend every week?
We highly encourage participants to attend every week. Attending all four weeks provides the best experience.
What happens if I miss a class?
If you miss a class, we encourage you to speak with the class facilitator. They can help you determine the best way to join the next available session. Basics is ongoing, we would love to get you plugged in so you don't miss any of it.
Can I join the class after it has started?
Because Basics is ongoing, you are welcome to join the class at anytime and complete a cycle of 4 lessons. 
How long is each session?
Basics is a 4-week class that meets during first service on Sundays at 9:00 AM.

Class is approximately an hour long.
Is there a cost to attend?
No. There is no cost to attend the Basics class.
Is childcare available?
Yes. since Basics coincides with First Service, children can be checked into their normal LC Kids or Nursery services during class time.
Where does Basics Meet?
Basics currently meets in C1, located in the portable building on the west side of the main building. (side closest to Loves)
Do I need to bring anything to class?
You’re encouraged to bring a Bible and a pen. Handouts and any additional materials will be provided.
Will I be required to participate?
Participation is encouraged but not required. Engaging in discussion allows for meaningful conversation and the opportunity to ask questions, but everyone is welcome to participate at their own comfort level.
I am a new Christian will this class be over my head?
No. Basics is designed specifically with new believers in mind and is accessible to all levels of spiritual maturity. No prior Bible knowledge is required.
Is this class connected to membership or serving at LC?
No. Basics is not directly connected to membership or serving.

Basics is a shorter, introductory class focused on the essential beliefs and practices of the Christian faith.

Foundations builds on these concepts and provides a deeper, more comprehensive exploration over eight weeks. 
Can I contact the teacher if I have more questions?
Yes. You’re welcome to speak with the class facilitator during or after class if you have additional questions or would like further guidance.
What is next after Basics?
After completing Basics, many participants choose to continue their growth by enrolling in the Foundations class or exploring other next steps offered throughout the year.
