DAY 9: Boldness in the Spirit

Scriptures:
And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:29–31 (NLT)

Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.
Ephesians 6:19–20 (NLT)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

Reflection:
When the early church prayed, the room shook and they were filled with boldness. The Spirit doesn’t make us timid; He gives us courage to speak the truth in love. When you’re filled with the Spirit, fear loses its grip.

Personal Prayer:
Holy Spirit, give me boldness to speak and live my faith with confidence. Let courage rise where fear once lived.

Corporate Prayer Focus:
Pray for Pastor Preston and Paige that God would give them boldness and divine direction to lead our church fearlessly into this new year and next season.
